Our success over the past 20 years is reflected in the broad range of services offered to residents of rural Tamil Nadu. Activities include:

• Transitioning child labourers from silk looms to government schools through integrated Bridge School Programme
• Conducting rural day schools in remote villages to curb agriculture child labour
• Gaining special accommodation for child labourers in government school
• Advocating greater enforcement of child labour laws
• Creating widespread awareness on the eradication of child labour

 

• Fostering social and economic self-sufficiency among rural women through holistic Self Help Groups (SHG)



• Empowering rural women to start and run their own businesses through the disciplined Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme (REDP) 

• Providing seed loans to support rural women's business ventures through loan programme
• Conducting various Awareness Campaigns on issues including AIDS prevention, voter registration and road safety
• Hosting preventive and diagnostic medical camps in areas where health services are usually inaccessible

• Offering an inside view of India's silk weaving industry and steps taken to eradicate child labour through an innovative Eco-Tourism Programme
